My indoor self....

Just laying around on a wintery night and I get a visitor.......

Mr. Snowman was a great listener as I told him my story of being a
'surrendered' Setter that got a second 'Chance' with IBR.
He was real supportive of my ability to be a great -and
calming - factor in many lives.

He asked if he could be my friend and I was so happy
to have someone to snuggle with.

.....however....
Now that we are best buds...
Don't mess with Mr. Snowman
or you will have to deal with me.
...and I have soft and fuzzy ways of making you pay....

I am a new Dog!!!

I love to leap and play!
I am on the lookout for good things.....like birds and chippies.

I am a 5 year old dog in the body of a 1-Year Old. Really!!!

Foster Mom says there is something poetic about the way I run.

She says it's like her own sole is being set free too when I am in motion.

I learned how to play 'Fetch' but Foster Brother (Spark) made it hard at times.

However, I will bring the ball back to you each time if I can beat Spark to it.

MOM! HE TOOK MY BALL AGAIN!!!

Oh! The outdoors are so much fun.....
When indoors I am nice and calm.

Come find me! I am not hard to find. Email IBR to learn more, plus keep
reading to the end of this blog. I am so super sweet and would love for a family
to take me into their forever home.
Something important to know about me:
I would do best in a home with an electric fence system.
Conventional fences only act like a speed bump with
how fast I can clear them.

The most loyal friend you will ever have is me; Chance.
I have transformed in just a few weeks from a Kennel Pet,
to a perfect Family Companion.

I turn to butter at the slightest of human touch. I adore kids and would
prefer to be in a home with children that love hugs, touching, and being close to me.
I am mush with any 'kind' human contact.
I also enjoy playing with my foster brothers.
They are very active in play, but I don't need to be.Good news! I am cat safe!
I like the feel of their soft fur.......
So please consider me for your family. I am so very sweet and loving.
If you make me your Forever Home I will lean into you for a
face rub that will melt both our hearts every time.....

Day Four and ALL is Better!

Wow! What a first 4 days with my Foster Family!

Here is a list of all the things I learned in just 4 days

My recall is 90% (up from 0% on day one, plus main reason for surrender).
I am E-fenced trained so I can run,run RUN!
I sleep outside of a create in the bedroom of a human family member.
I am house trained. This was an instant learn on my part.
I shake a lot less.
I can run along side a peddle bike while on a lead very well.

Stay tuned for more photos. As today was my first real FREE day, Foster Mom hasn't had much time to pull out a camera. But be sure to watch! I am supper cute and sweet. You will see...

P.S. All my training in the last 4 days has been done with love and care. I am a super fast learner so it only took the 'love' AND 'care' to show me how things really work in a 'pet-family-member' type of environment.

Day Two:
I am a little better today. My foster family got to know me a more and I started to shake a little less. They put a E-Fence collar on me and we spent some time learning how it works. I was so happy to show my Foster Mom how quick of a learner I am. I like to please her. She likes to give me hugs too. I SO LOVE THE HUMAN TOUCH!!!
Today I am on my second dose of Doxy for treating Lyme's Disease. I don't like taking those, but I always do when prompted.
Today was better.....we have so much to cover. I have never been allowed in a home before so I am working very hard to stay calm when indoors. I showed my foster family it only took me a short while today to relax indoors. GOOD NEWS: I haven't had a single 'accident' in the house yet. I prefer to do my 'doo-ties' outside anyway.

Day One (My Doggie diary):
I am so fearful of everything and everybody. I can't help my shaking and the more I try to calm down the more I shake. My voice keeps exploding from my mouth with those silly sounds I make like whines and short 'woofs/howls'. It's so frustrating for me because I don't think my Foster Family knows what to do to make me calmer. Took a nice walk though and that helped ...a little.....Hopefully tomorrow will be better....
